Girls flag football is not among the WHSAA's culminating events for 2026-27 or 2027-28. The WHSAA Board of Directors' 10 February 2026 minutes list girls flag football among possible activities to add, alongside HOSA, esports and pickleball, with no motion; the commissioner said schools need to advocate to the WHSAA office if they want more events.
