The NMAA Board of Directors' 23 September 2026 agenda listed girls flag football as a discussion and informational item presented by the executive director, not as an action item. Reporting describes New Mexico's first girls' high school league, run outside the NMAA in 2026 and seeking recognition. Next NMAA Board meeting: 3 December 2026.
